Join an unforgettable 2 Days / 1 Night whale shark adventure from Lombok to Saleh Bay, Sumbawa, one of Indonesia's most remarkable destinations for encountering wild whale sharks. Travel from Lombok to Labuan Jambu, stay overnight, and wake up early for an incredible boat trip to the local fishing platforms (bagang), where whale sharks are frequently spotted.

Swim and snorkel alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat while enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery of Sumbawa. The tour is operated by experienced local guides with a strong focus on safety, responsible wildlife tourism, and marine conservation.

Please note that whale sharks are wild animals, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. Based on our experience, the chance of encountering whale sharks is approximately 80–90%. If whale sharks are not spotted, the tour will continue as scheduled and no refund will be provided.

Lombok to Labuan Jambu – Sumbawa

Depart from Lombok and travel overland toward Kayangan Harbor. Cross the Lombok Strait by ferry from Kayangan Harbor to Poto Tano Harbor in Sumbawa, then continue the journey to Labuan Jambu. The total travel time is approximately 8–10 hours depending on traffic, weather, and ferry schedules. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax before the early morning whale shark adventure.

Whale Shark Encounter – Saleh Bay

Around 4:00 AM, depart for the harbor and board a shared traditional wooden boat to the local fishing platforms (bagang) in Saleh Bay. As the sun rises, look for wild whale sharks and enjoy the opportunity to swim and snorkel alongside these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the experience, return to Labuan Jambu and begin the journey back to Lombok.
